Artist's Description
My wife and I ride horses whenever we can and one of our all-time favorite places to ride and enjoy the countryside is at the Circle Z Ranch in Patagonia, New Mexico, about 15 north of Nogales. One of the wranglers was putting a set of new shoes on the horse I really enjoyed riding, "Jasco" a great quarterhorse.
About J P Childress
J.P. "Pat" Childress, a fifth generation Texan, was born and raised in the eastern oilfields of the state. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a M.B.A and after starting and later selling a holding company, Childress moved to the Hill Country of Texas. His interest in art is long standing; he constantly improves his techniques in oil painting and sculpting through workshops and classes with some of the most highly respected artists on today's art scene.
