J P Childress

J.P. "Pat" Childress, a fifth generation Texan, was born and raised in the eastern oilfields of the state. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a M.B.A and after starting and later selling a holding company, Childress moved to the Hill Country of Texas. His interest in art is long standing; he constantly improves his techniques in oil painting and sculpting through workshops and classes with some of the most highly respected artists on today's art scene. "I was fortunate to have a very good instructor in oil painting when I began in that medium some years ago," stated Childress. "He taught me the very basics, such as paint what you see.
