Not so long ago (and perhaps to this day) piano players in bordellos were called "professors." I encountered this character a few years ago in New Mexico at a Civil War reinactment event. While he was dressed in an authentic costume typical of a pioneer of the 19th century, he just looked like a "professor," whether in a classroom or in a bordello.

J.P. "Pat" Childress, a fifth generation Texan, was born and raised in the eastern oilfields of the state. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a M.B.A and after starting and later selling a holding company, Childress moved to the Hill Country of Texas. His interest in art is long standing; he constantly improves his techniques in oil painting and sculpting through workshops and classes with some of the most highly respected artists on today's art scene.
