Some of the most beautiful country in Texas is around the Fredericksburg hill country area. The Willow City Loop is a sight to behold in the spring what with the profusion of bluebonnets in the fields, among the big rocks and hills. That's where I found this little heifer stranded one day.

J.P. "Pat" Childress, a fifth generation Texan, was born and raised in the eastern oilfields of the state. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a M.B.A and after starting and later selling a holding company, Childress moved to the Hill Country of Texas. His interest in art is long standing; he constantly improves his techniques in oil painting and sculpting through workshops and classes with some of the most highly respected artists on today's art scene.
